Introduction and Advantages of Ultrasonic Plastic Welding

Ultrasonic plastic welding establishes a strong connection between two or more materials of the same type and two or more materials of different types, making it particularly suitable for welding thermoplastic materials. In the ultrasonic welding process of plastics, ultrasonic waves with a frequency of 20-70 kHz are used. When the amplitude is 5-50 μ m, vibration is introduced into the component by the ultrasonic welding electrode. Generate frictional heat and cause melting.
Under additional pressure, the plastic is connected together. In order to achieve precise welding with ultrasonic waves, it is necessary to concentrate the energy of the sound waves.
This is achieved through the geometric shape of the tool (welding head and anvil) or the plastic itself (joint design). The points or edges on the seam can concentrate energy.

Advantages:
1. Time saving: Plastic can be welded instantly. In the case of ultrasonic welding, there is no need to start and wait for the tool to heat and cool.
2. Consistent quality: Precise control techniques ensure precise and reproducible results.
3. Cost saving and environmentally friendly: No tools or other additives (such as adhesives) are required, and less energy is used.
