Introduction to Ultrasonic Spraying

Ultrasonic spray is a unique spray technology, which is based on ultrasonic spray nozzle technology. The material sprayed is first in a liquid state, which can be a solution, sol, suspension, etc. The liquid coating is first atomized into fine particles by an ultrasonic atomization device, and then uniformly coated on the surface of the substrate with a certain amount of carrier gas, thereby forming a coating or film. Compared to traditional pneumatic two fluid spraying, ultrasonic atomization spraying can achieve better uniformity, thinner coating thickness, and higher accuracy. Meanwhile, since ultrasonic nozzles do not require air pressure assistance for atomization, the use of ultrasonic spraying can significantly reduce paint splashing during the spraying process, achieving the goal of saving paint. The paint utilization rate of ultrasonic spraying is more than four times that of traditional two fluid spraying.

The Principle of Ultrasonic Spraying

It converts high-frequency sound waves into mechanical energy through piezoelectric transducers, and then transfers the mechanical energy to the liquid. This longitudinal upward and downward vibration generates standing waves in the liquid film at the tip of the ultrasonic nozzle, where the amplitude of these waves can be controlled by a power generator. These stationary liquid waves can extend upwards from the top of the ultrasonic nozzle, and when the droplets leave the atomizing surface of the nozzle, they are decomposed into a uniform fine mist of micrometer or even nanometer sized droplets.

Advantages of ultrasonic spraying:

1. High stability

Made of high-performance titanium alloy and stainless steel, it has strong adaptability, corrosion resistance, no pressure, no noise, no nozzle wear and blockage, and high uniformity of atomized particles.

2. Energy conservation and environmental protection

The impact of spray is very small, which will not cause liquid splashing, and can reduce the waste of raw materials and air pollution caused by reverse spray.

3. Molding is controllable

It can accurately control the atomization flow. Low flow continuous spray. The spray shape is easy to control and shape (increase the spray manipulator), which is applicable to the industrial field. By combining, the atomization amount can meet any user's requirements.

4. Easy to maintain

The liquid is transported to the nozzle by gravity or low-pressure pump, achieving continuous or intermittent atomization. No cooling water is required during atomization, low energy consumption, simple equipment, low failure rate, and maintenance free daily operation.

5. Wide application range

The size of atomized particles is determined by the ultrasonic frequency and is independent of the nozzle diameter. It is difficult to block the nozzle by maintaining ultrasonic oscillation during atomization. This nozzle can be applied to various solutions, and can even atomize sewage, chemical liquids, and oily liquids.

Introduction to Traditional Spraying:

Traditional spraying is a coating method that uses a spray gun or disc atomizer to disperse into uniform and fine droplets under pressure or centrifugal force, and apply them to the surface of the object being coated. It can be divided into air spraying, airless spraying, electrostatic spraying, and various derivative forms of the above basic spraying forms, such as high flow low-pressure atomization spraying, thermal spraying, automatic spraying, multi group spraying, etc.

Characteristics of traditional spraying:

Utilizing the kinetic energy of both gas and liquid fluids for atomization

◆ The impact of spray is strong, which will cause splashing and waste of raw materials

Poor uniformity of atomized particles

The size of atomized particles is determined by the nozzle diameter

When the nozzle mouth is very thin, it is easy to block the nozzle

◆ Unable to accurately control the spray flow, unable to continuously spray at low flow

Difference between ultrasonic spraying and traditional spraying:

Ultrasonic atomization spraying is an advanced spraying technology that combines the advantages of ultrasound and spraying technology, bringing revolutionary changes to modern manufacturing industry. Through ultrasonic atomization spraying, we can achieve more uniform and fine coatings, thereby improving product quality and performance.

In the process of ultrasonic atomization spraying, the vibration of ultrasonic waves can quickly atomize liquid coating into tiny particles, and spray them onto the surface of the substrate through high-speed airflow. This spraying method not only improves the utilization rate of the coating, but also achieves a more uniform distribution of the coating. At the same time, the vibration effect of ultrasound can also form tiny gaps in the coating, making it more breathable, wear-resistant, and corrosion-resistant.

Compared with traditional spraying techniques, ultrasonic atomization spraying has a wider range of applications. It can be used not only for spraying common materials such as metals and plastics, but also for spraying high viscosity, high solid content coatings, as well as spraying workpieces with special shapes and structures. In addition, ultrasonic atomization spraying has the advantages of easy operation, high production efficiency, environmental protection and energy saving, and is widely used in fields such as automobiles, electronics, aerospace, etc.

Ultrasonic atomization spraying is an efficient, precise, and environmentally friendly spraying technology that not only improves product quality and performance, but also brings more sustainable development to enterprises. With the continuous advancement of technology and the expansion of application fields, it is believed that ultrasonic atomization spraying will be widely used in more fields, injecting new impetus into the development of modern manufacturing industry.
