With the rapid development of industry, indium has been widely used in new semiconductor alloys, solar cells, fiber optic communication, atomic energy, aerospace technology, computers, televisions, and anti-corrosion. Ultrasonic target welding technology, as a new target binding method, has gradually demonstrated its superiority in many fields. The most common method for welding target materials is indium coating, so the ultrasonic equipment used is called an ultrasonic indium coating machine. Ultrasonic target welding technology provides an environmentally friendly welding solution without the use of flux, fundamentally avoiding various problems of conventional flux welding technology, thereby providing stable and reliable welding.
What are the ultrasonic indium coating machines available? At present, FUNSONIC ultrasound has five types of indium coating machines.
1. The ultrasonic planar indium coating machine is the most commonly used type, suitable for the indium coating work of planar targets. The traditional technique of coating indium on metal and non-metal surfaces such as copper plates, ITO glass, and silicon dioxide involves manual indium coating. However, the drawbacks of manual indium coating are very obvious. Firstly, the uneven indium coating can lead to poor performance of the coated material; Secondly, due to the manual scraping method used, the indium coating may become unstable and prone to detachment; Again, the efficiency of manual scraping and coating is very low, which consumes a lot of manual labor; Finally, due to control or other reasons, it may lead to the waste of indium metal. And FUNSONIC's ultrasonic technology has solved these problems very well.

2. Ultrasonic inner circle indium coating machine, also known as bent head ultrasonic indium coating machine, is suitable for indium coating on the inner wall of the target cylinder. Ultrasound generates tens of thousands of high-frequency vibrations per second, which reach a certain amplitude. The ultrasonic energy is transmitted to the welding area through a variable amplitude pole. The high-frequency vibration allows the micro bubbles in the welding area to be discharged, while the target material enters the micro cavity occupied by these micro bubbles, firmly binding the target material to the substrate and achieving welding without the use of flux.

3. Ultrasonic outer circle indium coating machine, also known as arc target ultrasonic indium coating machine, is suitable for indium coating on the outer wall of tube targets. It is an environmentally friendly welding solution, and ultrasonic welding technology does not use flux, so there is no need for gas discharge facilities and wastewater treatment facilities to treat harmful gases generated by flux. There will also be no occurrence of welding defects, such as cracks, caused by the generation of micro bubbles inside the welding due to the flux. The ultrasonic coating of indium is uniform, without blind spots or ripples, and the coating is firm and will not fall off. At the same time, it can greatly improve production efficiency, with a coating area of 1500 * 190mm copper plate taking only 15 minutes (vibration twice). Applying ITO glass with an area of 50 * 50mm only takes 1 minute (vibration 3 times).
