The balloon‑based ultrasonic spraying device integrates balloon dilation and ultrasonic spraying technologies to perform spraying tasks during surgical procedures. It mainly comprises the following core components:

 

1. Balloon catheter

This is a flexible dilatable catheter fitted with a balloon at its distal end. The balloon is inflated with gas or liquid to establish a stable operating environment at the target site.

 

2. Ultrasonic spraying system

Integrated onto the balloon catheter, this system includes an ultrasonic nozzle, spray medium delivery unit and fluid transfer assembly. The ultrasonic nozzle atomizes the liquid spray medium into fine droplets through ultrasonic vibration, which are then propelled toward the target surface by carrier gas flow.

 

3. Control system

Working Principle

 

During surgery, the balloon catheter is delivered to the target site. The balloon is subsequently inflated by gas or liquid to expand and secure the catheter in position. The ultrasonic spraying system then atomizes the spray medium and deposits it onto target tissue or surfaces to complete the spraying procedure.
