Composition and Principle of Ultrasonic Welding

Ultrasonic Welding 3

The main components of an ultrasonic welding system include an ultrasonic generator, ultrasonic transducer, amplitude rod, tool head, mold, and frame.

Principle of Ultrasonic Welding

The transducer converts the input electrical energy into mechanical energy, which is manifested in the longitudinal back and forth expansion and contraction motion of the transducer. The amplitude is generally a few micrometers, but such amplitude power density is not sufficient and cannot be directly used. The ultrasonic amplitude lever device amplifies this amplitude power, allowing the amplified amplitude to be used. The tool head is connected to the amplitude lever, and the amplitude lever transmits the ultrasonic energy vibration to the tool head, which then emits the ultrasonic energy to the welding area.
