Device Description:
Arterial balloon angioplasty, a procedure that entails arterial stent implantation, is a mainstream clinical therapy for arterial disorders. To avert immune-mediated stent rejection and recurrent arterial occlusion, stents require specialized surface coating treatment.
FUNSONIC's proprietary balloon catheter spraying system integrates linear spray nozzles and convergent atomizing nozzles. This dual-nozzle configuration supports ultra-low flow output, controllable spray profiles, low-velocity material delivery and fine droplet formation.
In the spraying workflow, the balloon catheter is mounted on a spindle coupled to a rotary drive shaft, with the nozzle positioned vertically overhead. The drive assembly delivers combined rotational and translational motion to the spindle, enabling uniform full-surface coating of the balloon catheter.
Production Process :
1. Pre‑treatment cleaning
Complete cleaning procedures for balloon catheters prior to spraying to eliminate surface contaminants.
2. Spraying operation
The spraying procedure is executed within a controlled environment to minimize external interference with coating quality.
3. Curing and performance validation
Carry out curing post spraying, followed by mandatory performance inspections.
