Ultrasonic Spraying for Coating of Transparent Plastic laser Welding

Ultrasonic spraying for functional coatings on transparent plastics 3

The application of ultrasonic spraying technology in transparent plastic laser welding mainly involves the improvement of coating functionality and welding quality. By optimizing the frequency and power of ultrasonic spraying equipment to ensure uniform coating and strong adhesion. Specific coatings can not only enhance the laser absorption capacity of transparent plastics, thereby improving the welding effect, but also reduce light reflection, ensuring that laser energy is more effectively transmitted to the welding site.

Unlike the traditional spray head, which relies on pressure and high-speed movement to crush the liquid into small particles, the ultrasonic nozzle uses lower ultrasonic vibration energy to atomize the liquid. The liquid can be transported to the nozzle by its own gravity or low-pressure liquid pump and achieve continuous or intermittent atomization.

The ultrasonic nozzle system replaces mechanical pressure nozzles, enabling more precise, controllable, and environmentally friendly precision spraying. For base material coatings, moisture retention, fine spray lines, spray drying and other industrial applications, the effect of ultrasonic spray spraying is far superior to other technologies.

It converts high-frequency sound waves into mechanical energy through piezoelectric transducers, and then transfers the mechanical energy to the liquid. This longitudinal upward and downward vibration generates standing waves in the liquid film at the top of the ultrasonic nozzle, where the amplitude of these waves can be controlled by a power generator. These stationary liquid waves can extend upwards from the top of the ultrasonic nozzle, and when the droplets leave the atomization surface of the ultrasonic nozzle, they are decomposed into a uniform fine mist of micrometer or even nanometer sized droplets.

Ultrasonic nozzles are used to spray transparent plastic laser welding coating materials in plastic laser welding applications that require precise thin deposition. FUNSONIC's ultrasonic nozzle is highly suitable for spraying transparent plastic laser welding materials in a repeatable and controllable spraying process. Air forming is also used to create wider thin lines and uniform coatings. The ultrasonic nozzle is integrated into the programmable XYZ motion system of the device, forming a fully integrated coating solution.
